The Waukegan Chapter was one of the first 3 chapters approved by the National AACA in Feb. 1959. Later, we merged with sister chapter North Shore. We concentrate our membership in the northern suburbs of Chicago, although all of Chicagoland is represented. Our Chapter has meetings throughout the spring, fall and winter months where we get together to discuss our upcoming activities and hear presentations on all things automotive.
We have a wealth of experience in our Chapter which is readily shared with others. We also have holiday parties and a summer picnic. But our passion is our driving tours. These tours take us on beautiful country roads, to interesting historical museums and attractions, some of which are private and open only to us by special arrangements. You will see places that you wouldn’t normally see on our tours!
From the turn of the century- “horseless carriage” to the muscle cars of the 60’s and 70’s, each member of the Waukegan-North Shore Chapter takes pride in their car and the work that it takes to keep it alive.
